Thus, although American citizenship was guaranteed to the inhabitants of the former colonies, the truth is that this qualification was only operative for white, male, adult persons; In other words, only a small sector of the population could be considered a citizen in terms of civil and political rights: women and Afro-Americans, predominantly, were inhabitants of a second order who did not possess in different degrees the same rights as white men.

Here is a case that I researched and analyzed: Roe v. Wade.
How to explain the caseIn a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of McCorvey. The Court held that the Constitution of the United States protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction. The Court found that this right is "broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy."
The Court's decision was based on a number of factors, including the right to privacy, the right to bodily autonomy, and the right to make decisions about one's own health care. The Court found that these rights are all protected by the Constitution, and that they all apply to a woman's decision to have an abortion.
I agree with the Supreme Court's decision in Roe v. Wade. I believe that women have the right to make their own decisions about their bodies, and that this right includes the right to have an abortion. I also believe that the government has a limited role to play in regulating abortion, and that this role should be limited to protecting the health and safety of women.

Describe the actions of each group or person that led to the fall of the western Roman Empire.
Answer:
Roman Government- levied heavy taxes on people
Roman Emperors-fought among themselves
Barbarian tribes-disrupted trade routes
Explanation:
According to the late fourth-century author Vegetius, troops wore armor up to the reign of Gratian, when they began to complain about how heavy it was and asked the emperor to forbid them from wearing it. Although historians debate this, Egypt, which was a part of the more prosperous Eastern Roman Empire, is the only location where Roman armor from the fifth century has been discovered. After the division of the empire in 395, the West fared poorly. Prior East-West partitions had given the West the important province of Illyricum (modern Yugoslavia more or less). According to records, Gaul and Illyricum accounted for 56% of military recruitment between 284 and 476. In fact, helping to reclaim Illyricum to use for military recruiting was one of the reasons the Roman commander Stillicho attempted to form an alliance with the Gothic king Alaric. It was difficult to raise enough taxes to support a sizable military army due to the loss of wealthier provinces like Egypt to the Eastern empire and the fact that Gaul's economy had not yet recovered from the devastation of its towns during the Crisis of the Third Century. When Theodosius' East Roman forces beat the Western army, it was still reeling from the disastrous loss at the Battle of Frigidus River.Barbarian tribes with conflicted allegiance made up the majority of the army in the fifth century. The Suevic king Rechiar and a Gothic princess had a son named Ricimer. He killed the emperor when Majorian returned home from his expedition in North Africa against the Vandals. Perhaps he had grudges against Majorian for retaking Spain from the Sueves and the Goths (which collapsed against after his death). With the brief exception of Anthemius, who was imposed on the West by an Eastern Roman army, Ricimer governed through puppet emperors until his death in 472. After Anthemius killed himself by killing a follower of his named Romanus, Ricimer and Anthemius engaged in a civil war. Before the Eastern empire launched another expedition, Gundobad—the subsequent military leader and Ricimer's nephew—appointed Glycerius as the western emperor and departed Italy to become the Burgundians' king. During his brief reign as emperor in 475, Julius Nepos named Roman Orestes as Magister Militum (commander in chief of the army) and appointed him to rule over what was left of Roman Gaul (Provence). However, he abandoned Gaul and struck a deal with the barbarians in which he asked them to support him as emperor in exchange for one-third of Italy. After being expelled from Italy, Julius Nepos went to Dalmatia, where he was killed in 480. The western kingdom was toppled in 476 when Orestes betrayed his pledges to the barbarians. Odovocar, the barbarian ruler of Italy (perhaps from the Heruli tribe), put an end to the empire in the west. Thanks,

Read the passages from Thomas Jefferson’s Opinion on the Constitutionality of a National Bank, 1791 and Alexander Hamilton’s Opinion as to the Constitutionality of a National Bank of the United States, 1791.
Explain each man's position, and analyze how these arguments related to the growing debate on the authority of the federal government during Washington's presidency
Answer:
Alexander Hamilton brought out the idea for a new national bank in the United States, but Jefferson strongly opposed it. Hamilton had a powerful stand in the argument, however, because Washington was on his side and Washington was the president of the united states at the time. So, Washington helped Hamilton with his mission against Jefferson. Soon Jefferson came back with the federal government and now there was an even battle.
Explanation:
Answer:
Hamilton proposed the idea of a national bank to help pay off state and federal debts and to encourage more manufacturing and trade. However, Jefferson was strongly opposed to this idea finding it unconstitutional but Hamilton had Washington on his side to defend him. Jefferson didn't want a national bank because he was scared that there would be a financial monopoly and that this would make state banks less powerful and less important. Jefferson found this very upsetting as he was opposed to a strong federal government and instead supported states' rights. Hamilton thought that by establishing a national bank, the country would be economically stable/strong and would increase power to the federal government. Under his plan, the bank would be able to issue currency, loan money to the federal government and businesses, and hold government money in a safe place. Jefferson argued that the constitution didn't give congress the power to create a bank and that it was unconstitutional to do so. These arguments over the creation of the bank are strongly related to the debate on the federal government's authority. Jefferson believed in strict construction which states that the constitution must be interpreted very specifically. Under this idea, the government can only do what the constitution specifically says it can do and these powers were called express powers. This means that the power of the federal government would be limited and that it wouldn't have the authority to do things such as creating a national bank. Hamilton on the other hand was in favor of loose construction, the idea that the government should have all of the powers "necessary and proper" to carry out its duties. These powers were called implied powers and were not spelled out in the constitution. However, Hamilton believed that this power was necessary for the federal government to do its job. These arguments led to the creation of the first political parties during Washington's presidency. The Federalist part was formed by supporters of Hamilton and they were in favor of strong federal government. The Democratic-Republican party was formed by supporters of Jefferson and wanted to limit the power of the federal government. The formation of these parties led to greater division in America, especially in government, as the two sides continued to disagree on how much authority the government should have.

According to the U.S. Constitution, revenue bills must originate with ______
According to the U.S. Constitution, revenue bills must originate with the House of Representatives.
It states, "All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills." The Origination Clause serves as a mechanism to ensure that the power of taxation, which has a direct impact on the people and their resources, is closely tied to the lower chamber of Congress, which is more directly representative of the population.
The House of Representatives, with its members, elected every two years in proportion to the population of each state, is seen as the branch of Congress that is closer to the people's interests and concerns. The Senate, on the other hand, is designed to represent the states equally, with two senators per state, regardless of population.
The Origination Clause allows the Senate to propose or amend revenue bills but ensures that the initial authority to introduce such legislation resides in the House. This constitutional provision provides a system of checks and balances within the legislative process.
